Odessa port is built at Black Sea coast of Odessa bay on the artificially created peninsula. Interior port waters are defended by breakwaters aside of a bay.
Passenger Terminal of Odessa Port has modern design and facility like in European resort cities. The tallest building here is "Odessa" 4-stars hotel, one of the most elegant in the city.

This small square with monument erected in honor of Odessa first Governor Rishelie is the very heart of city the point of countdon. Potemkin Steps that lead here from the Sea Terminal are a formal entrance into the city from the direction of the sea.
The Potemkin Steps were build from 1837 through 1841 - just a while after the city was founded.
Odessa Opera Theatre
Opera House
The Odessa Opera and Ballet Theater was first built in 1809, then re-built in 1887 after its destruction by fire. The Theater is said to be one of the best in Europe, built by European architects after Vienna Opera House in the same style and tradition.
It is located on one end of Primorsky Blvd and surrounded by exotic garden.

Deribasivska street
Deribasovskaya Street is covered with green trees, and no vehicle traffic allowed, only pedestrians. There are numerous cafes, restaurants and bars along the street. Many people leisurely sit on terraces of the cafes and restaurants.
Some buildings show a mixture of different styles such as French and Russian, and some are built even in the Art Nouveau Style
Street art is usual for Odessa downtown as well.
